2021

New England watercolor Society's All Member Exhibition at the Plymouth Center for the Arts, Plymouth, Mass  July 9 - Sept. 8. 

Invitational Master Artist Exhibition at the Cape Cod Art Center in Barnstable, Mass  April 19 - May 14.

2020

Mike is currently having an invitational show with 29 of his maritime watercolors and oils at the Marion Art Center in Marion, MA. They will be on exhibit from October 3, to November 7, 2020. Gallery hours are Thursday - Saturday, 10 am - 2pm or by appointment. Due to COVID-19 there was not an artist reception.

American Artists Professional League, Members Only online show, "Favorite Things" exhibited Mike's oil painting, "HMS Bounty", Salmagundi Club, NYC, June 2020

The Salmagundi Club in NYC juried one of his watercolors into their "Land and Sea" Exhibition, January 6-23.

2019

Mike's painting "Oil Barge and Tug" was juried into the Cape Cod Art Center's All New England Exhibition where it won First place in watercolor.

His painting "New Bedford Trawlers, V" was juried into the American Artists Professional League's 91st Grand National Exhibition in NYC.

John Stobart invited Mike to have a solo exhibition at his Kensington-Stobart Gallery in Salem, MA . The Gallery is located across from the Peabody-Essex Museum and runs from August 1 - August 31, 2019

Mike had two paintings juried into the Coos Art Museum 26th Annual Maritime Exhibit, Coos Bay, OR, July 13 – September 28, 2019 where his painting “SeaMist, Aucoot Cove” won an Honorable Mention.

Mike won First Prize at the Arts Affair at Marina Bay, Quincy, MA in August out of 23 participating regional art associations.

He had an invitational solo exhibition of his work at the Akillian Gallery at Massasoit Community College in Canton, Mass from April 2 – May 2, 2019.

He participated in a collaborative art exhibition between the Marion Art Center, Buzzards Bay Coalition and Tabor Academy where several of his watercolors of Buzzards Bay were on display to raise awareness of the Bay, its life and habitat.

The United States Coast Guard accepted in to their 2019 collection a watercolor of the “IDA LEWIS”, USCG buoy Tender #551. The painting will reside in the USCG Museum in Washington, D.C.

2018

In January, Marquis’ Who’s Who publishers honored Mike with their ‘Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award’ in his chosen fields of Art, Medicine and Science.

Mike has two watercolors that were commissioned and accepted into the permanent collection of the U.S. Coast Guard and will reside in the USCG Museum in Washington D.C.   One represents an arctic ecological expedition and the other a boarding of a fishing vessel in search of drugs. The art collection is used as an outreach tool for educating diverse audiences about the United States Coast Guard. They will be unveiled at a reception in July at the Salmagundi Cub in NYC.

Mike will be exhibiting in the International Guild of Realism's 13th Annual Juried Exhibition in Santa Fe, New Mexico from October 5-31, 2018 at the Sugarman-Peterson Gallery.

He won First Place in the Arts Affair at Marina Bay, Quincy Mass with over 15 regions art associations participating in August.

Mike exhibited his watercolor "To The Next Level" in the Cape Cod Art Center's National Exhibition July 16-August 13, 2018.

Mike's painting "Scalloping, Hiller's Cove" was juried into the American Artists Professional League's 90th Grand National Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in NYC from Nov 11-19-2018.

2017

Mike was recently notified (in May) that he was unanimously approved by the National Board of Directors of the American Artists Professional League in NYC as their first Signature Member elected in many decades, and the eighth Signature Member in the AAPL’s 86 year existence, with a membership currently over 600.  He previously held the title of Fellow, Magna Cum Laude.

Mike’s painting “Work and Play” was juried into the AAPL’s 89th Grand National Exhibition.
